The Tay & Miko Foundation is dedicated to creating lasting change in communities by investing in people. We believe in empowering youth and families through direct support and charitable giving, fostering a culture of service, leadership, and opportunity.
OUR HISTORY
The Tay & Miko Foundation (TMF) was born from a simple belief: when communities come together to support one another, lives are changed.
For years, Ta-Sean and Sumiko Murdock (Tay & Miko) have dedicated their lives to serving others—supporting young people, strengthening families, mentoring future leaders, and partnering with organizations working to make a difference.
Along the way, friends, neighbors, and community partners often reached out with a familiar question: “Can you help?” The answer was almost always yes.
What began as informal acts of service and community support gradually grew into a shared vision. Together, Tay and Miko recognized the need to create a foundation that would expand their ability to give back, mobilize resources, and support individuals and families facing challenges throughout the community.
The Tay & Miko Foundation is more than a charitable organization—it is a reflection of lived experience. We understand the importance of a helping hand because we have seen firsthand how community support can provide hope, create opportunity, and help people overcome obstacles. We know that behind every need is a person, a family, or a young person striving for a brighter future.
Through community partnerships, charitable initiatives, youth and family support programs, and direct assistance efforts, the Foundation works to address immediate needs while creating pathways for long-term success. Our focus is on empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building healthier, more connected communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
At its heart, the Tay & Miko Foundation is a family-led commitment to service, compassion, and community impact. We believe that no act of kindness is too small, no challenge is too great when people work together, and that lasting change begins with a willingness to help.
