Through our Community Impact Support program, we provide financial and material support to eligible nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with our mission and funding priorities.

Community Impact Support
The Tay & Miko Foundation is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations that are creating meaningful and lasting change throughout Capital Region. Through our Community Impact Support program, eligible organizations may apply for financial or material support for initiatives that align with the Foundation's mission and funding priorities.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for funding, organizations must meet all of the following requirements:

Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and be able to provide verification of tax-exempt status upon request.

Primarily serve individuals and families in Albany, Schenectady, or Rensselaer County, New York.

Demonstrate that the funding request aligns with at least one of the Foundation's funding priorities:
Youth & Family Well-Being
Support for Needy & Homeless Individuals
Youth Literacy & Educational Enrichment

Submit funding requests at least eight (8) weeks before the requested support date or event.

Supporting organizations that strengthen the health, stability, and overall well-being of youth and families.
Support for Needy & Homeless Individuals

Providing funding and material support to organizations assisting individuals and families experiencing poverty, housing insecurity, or homelessness.
Youth Literacy & Educational Enrichment

Supporting organizations that promote youth literacy and expand access to educational, cultural, and enrichment opportunities that help young people learn, grow, and succeed.

Submitting an application does not guarantee funding or support.
Each request is carefully reviewed based on:

Alignment with the Tay & Miko Foundation's mission and funding priorities

Demonstrated community impact

Availability of funding
The Foundation may request additional information or supporting documentation during the review process.
The Board of Trustees considers each request thoughtfully to ensure that available resources are directed toward initiatives that will have the greatest impact on the communities we serve. The Foundation may request additional information or supporting documentation during the review process.
